New Customer Match Feature from AdWords

The official announcement will be coming to us on Monday during Advertising Week in New York City, but the unofficial announcement was published on Sunday here, and anticipations are running high for the new Customer Match feature. This is a feature that will come to us through AdWords and allow advertisers to upload and target audiences built from their email lists. In other words, the tool allows advertisers to bid and create ads that are tailored to customer segments in search.

This is a very in-demand tool so it’s easy to see why companies are so excited about it’s future. According to a Search Engine Land report, advertisers will be able to upload email lists manually or through the API to AdWords. Emails are matched against Google sing-in emails and will be completely anonymous, allowing you to target ads to people signed in to Gmail, Search, and YouTube.
